Activision and Infinity Ward have done a crazy job making Modern Warfare 2 a game that is on everyone Christmas wishlist. If was a sure bet that it would be the biggest game release of the year, but after tallying figures that put it squarely on top of all other entertainment, it's really just beginning. As retailers continue to keep stocking shelves, gamers continue to buy in record numbers. On Saturday Activision announced its Call of Duty franchise had generated $3 billion in sales to date. Well done. |
