I've been keeping quiet about it for a while while waiting myself because it seemed as though it was long in the coming. But with the recent days passing, it looks like we're really close to being able to host Dedicated servers for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Online. The loader that TeknoGods have been working on will allow users to inject all of the needed commands dvars during runtime that allow us to have access to the functionality we have wanted all along.

What does this mean?

Well, it means that you will be able to host a Dedicated server of course. It also means that you will be able to kick cheaters, use custom settings on the gametype, time and score limits and points for each action. You'll be able to know where to go for the best game from the server list and hopefully be able to filter as before.

I'm pretty excited. Now we can play on servers that are in the sub 100 ms area.
TG has already come up with a great Co-op loader that allows direct connect. You can see screenshots and read all about their great work here.

Activision, please just pull the curtain back and let us have this nativley.
